From Crosspool to Taipei: Hannah Gough’s Next Chapter in Coaching

Crosspool FC is proud to announce that Hannah Gough, who finished last season as an Under-18 player, will be taking a year out in Taiwan as a football coach. Hannah has accepted a year-long contract with the MFA Football Academy in Taipei, she will take flight on August 16th.

Hannah has been a dedicated player for Crosspool FC over the years, progressing through various age groups. Her passion for the sport led her to pursue the player-to-coach pathway at Crosspool, where she successfully completed her coaching qualification last year. Hannah has been a regular helper with our younger age groups, and now, with her love for coaching firmly established, she is ready to take her talents abroad.

The MFA Academy in Taipei, where Hannah will be coaching, has been a respected institution for 20 years, with coaches from England, Australia, and the USA. The academy also boasts strong international links, including a partnership with Glasgow Rangers.

Hannah's time at Crosspool FC has been marked by success. In her final season, she played a pivotal role in winning the SHWGL Division 2 title and finishing as runner-up in the Cup Final with the Under-18s.

While we will miss Hannah, we are excited to see her share the Crosspool brand of football in Taiwan. Hannah intends to return to the UK to take up a place at university after her year abroad, and she has promised to visit us when she’s back.

We wish Hannah all the very best in her adventures and look forward to hearing about her experiences in Taiwan. Good Luck Hannah, you will always be welcome back at Crosspool FC! 💚
